Chuck Richesin
Chief Financial Officer

Chuck is a CPA and owner of Cypress. He is a 1971 graduate of the University of Nevada-Reno. When he was “asked” to join the Army he became a Finance officer (Captain) and was released from active duty in 1975. He established his own public accounting practice shortly after. He has been active in the benefits world since 1986. In all capacities in his career, he has held that the “Customer” is most important.

Amy Yates
Chief Operating Officer

Amy has over 17 years of experience in the insurance industry and is a licensed insurance agent with a Registered Health Underwriter designation. In Amy’s 14 years at Cypress, she is the underwriter for group dental products and manages the company’s banking, finances and human resource departments.

Adam Richesin
Chief IT Officer

Adam caught the tech bug in the days of DOS, before Windows and mice were commonplace. What started out as a hobby, building and repairing computers, has graduated to managing servers, networking, virtualization, and EDI implementation. He has since used his powers for good, helping to solve technological mysteries for those around him.

Andrew Garnett
SR VP of Sales

Andrew has over 18 years’ experience in the health insurance industry.  His career has spanned as an American Board Certified Optician, and Award Winning Sales Executive, and ACA Specialist Insurance Broker. He is always views the obstacles as opportunities. These same opportunities are what defines him as both a leader and motivator.

Philip Holt
VP of Sales Central Valley

Philip Holt has been working in the healthcare industry for more than 29 years. He earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from California State University, Northridge.  For the past 13 years Philip has been working in the insurance industry. Philip brings to all his broker clients a level of integrity and a genuine desire to offer the highest level of service and a commitment to support them especially when there may be challenges.

Susan Baker Mendoza
VP of Sales Southern California

Susan has over 25 years of industry experience with demonstrated results and an emphasis on meeting and exceeding client needs and delivering on her promises.  Placing the customer and the client’s needs first and providing an exceptional level of service has been the foundation of her success. A Susan's value proposition is: "It's about fostering relationships, not transactions."
Susan brings with her an unmatched level of integrity and a genuine desire to offer the highest level of service and commitment to all of her clients. 

John Gillespie
VP of Sales

John has over 30 years of working in the insurance and employee benefits business.  Although his primary focus is being a “dental expert”, his past experiences in small group and large group medical sales, and self-funding solutions for mid to large groups brings him insight to the problems his broker relationships are constantly dealing with, and helping them find solutions. John is passionate about building relationships and partnerships within the insurance industry.

In his spare time, John loves spending time with his wife and 4 adult children.  He is passionate about coaching basketball in a local AAU club and playing golf.

Dave Laughter
VP of Sales Bay Area

Dave has been working in the healthcare industry for over 8 years. He received his undergraduate degree from George Mason University. With a combined 18 years of experience in both customer service and sales, he has a proven track record of surpassing client needs and expectations. Dave has a passion for forging key strategic relationships, assessing the customer's needs, selecting the appropriate product/services, and following through to ensure long-term commitment and loyalty.

Eddie Sobeck
VP of Sales Northern California

A former Army Captain, Eddie is a graduate of West Point and brings almost 25 years of healthcare industry experience to our team – with 15 of those years helping Brokers develop and implement high-value, cost-effective employee benefits packages for their clients. His approach to sales is simply to treat other people as you would want to be treated, present them with options that only you yourself would consider and never, ever, try to sell a client a plan that they do not want or do not need. Your integrity matters more than any sales opportunity.   

Married with three adult children, Eddie enjoys working out regularly, playing an occasional round of golf and backyard BBQs with family and friends.


Service Team

Ericka Hyak
Director of Membership Services

Ericka has been in the dental business for over 2 decades. She has been a key employee with Cypress for over 16 years. During her time with Cypress she has worked in almost every aspect of the industry including, claims, customer service, sales and marketing, account management and now she is the Director of Administration. Having knowledge of these departments, she provides expertise and superior customer service.  

In her spare time she loves to travel and spend time with her friends, family and 2 dogs.

Rashea Gaines
Account Manager

Rashea joined Cypress in July 2015, bringing nearly a decade of experience in diligently serving clients in the publishing and healthcare industries.

As Account Manager, Rashea works as liaison between brokers, employer groups, and members. She has set a foundation of excellence by providing exceptional support in a proactive, timely, and friendly manner. She is committed to ensuring that our clients both large and small receive personalized care and attention.

She has a genuine passion and love for serving others. Outside of her work with Cypress, Rashea enjoys volunteering with children at her local church, and cooking for family and friends. 

Ashley Woznick
Account Manager

Ashley joined Cypress in 2019, bringing roughly 15 years of customer service and healthcare experience. Prior to working at Cypress, Ashley worked at Blue Shield of California as a Senior Claims Representative. She led team meetings and engagements, and was handpicked by leadership to be the Coordinator of a project that Blue Shield of California now uses today.

As Account Manager, Ashley works as a liaison between brokers, employer groups, and members. She prides herself by providing remarkable support in a proactive, timely, and friendly manner. She is committed to ensuring that our clients, both large and small, receive the upmost care and attention.

Outside of her work with Cypress, Ashley enjoys spending her time with her husband and 3 children. She loves to spend her days outdoors, from hiking and boating to snowboarding and wine tasting.

Kammi Swenson
Administrative Assistant

Kammi Swenson joined Cypress with over 8 years of experienced in the healthcare industry. Previously, she was a Dental Assistant and Medical Biller. As the Administrative Assistant, Kammi is devoted to helping support our Administrative Team, brokers, employer groups, and members. She has a true passion for helping others anyway she can.

In her spare time Kammi enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends.
